Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Review for final exam. Topics included logarithms and logarithmic properties, binomial theorem, permutations and combinations, factorials, etc."
"We went through her homework on probability, then did a review of the chapter. She understands the material and just has a bit of trouble setting up problems that involve subsets."
"The student and I reviewed for his upcoming final exam in math. Topics included: trigonometry, algebra, vectors, and calculus. Yesterday, we focused primarily on the calculus portion of the exam, which tests differentiation, integration, and using differential equations. We practiced multiple methods of integration and general approach techniques for solving integrals."
"The student did a fantastic job with Geometry today! He demonstrated mastery of identify and visualizing both two and three-dimensional shapes using nets and also demonstrated an initial proclivity for finding volumes of cubes. I am looking forward to continuing to stretch his knowledge next time!"
"Today we had a good session. We did look at a many concepts which will need to be solidified by solving problems involving them. The student was very strong on operations with functions as well as identifying conic sections and their respective foci, center, and vertices. Logarithms and trigonometry were solid, but could use more practice. Practice makes perfect. Confidence comes with familiarity solving these types of problems and time. The student has a good habit of writing out the steps in pretty handwriting."
"I helped the student finish his review for his final exam. We looked over old tests that he had some trouble completing correctly."
