Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this section we covered acceleration, velocity, and position graphs and solving word problems graphically and algebraically. I saw the student understand the concepts a lot more and also interact with them a lot more. It seems that the student struggles with understanding when to use algebraic ways to solve compared to graphic ways to solve. I left the student to study."
"Today we quickly went over 3 difficult problems that she wasn't sure on their solution. The first problem was on the dipole moment between a uniform surface charge density circle surrounded by a uniform surface charge density ring. We also reviewed an Amperian Loop problem to look at how to integrate each section (setting up the integrals)."
"The student has a test coming up next week on momentum, so we went through various problems on this topic. Particularly, we looked at a worksheet given to her by her teacher, which looked at impulse and change in momentum. She did very well on this worksheet and seemed to understand the material. We ended the session by reviewing problems. These also focused on momentum, but with new ideas introduced in addition to it. I have reviewed what will be on her test and will meet with her next week with extra problems on this topic, to make sure she is extremely prepared."
