Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went through practice problems for her final exam today. The review covered all topics from the past semester."
"Today we looked at trig functions. We applied these functions using right triangles and the unit circle. We also spent some time working with acids and bases."
"The student and I worked through a final review that his teacher had given him. We worked through several concepts, such as logs, transformations, and quadratic equations."
"We worked with bar graphs. She understood how to put data on a graph. We practiced answering questions with the graphs data. The student was successful doing that. As a form of enrichment, we created a set of data, and she put the information onto the graph independently. I left her with some bar graph practice worksheets."
"We practiced solving for acute and obtuse angles using a protractor. In addition, we practiced solving for missing angles of triangles, and solving for the volume of rectangular prisms. The student has the concepts down, but she makes mistakes in her long multiplication from rushing and not being neat enough. This was most seen in solving for the volume of rectangular prisms. We will work on this."
"The student and I had our last session today. We worked on a review sheet for math, but spent most of our time completing lessons from her grammar workbook about verb tenses. We also went through her vocab list for the week, and did a little work on her Spanish vocabulary about the weather."
