Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today I helped the student study for his Environmental Science test next Friday. We started by reviewing chapters 4, 5, and 6 in his textbook using the quizzes at the end of each section. We also reviewed the questions on the first two unit tests. He seems to have a good grasp of the material!"
"Student was working for a semester exam review, tackling questions mainly of kinematics, Newton's laws, and friction (both on horizontal and inclined planes). There are a lot of details to deal with sometimes, but I think with some practice he will at least know how to start and work a good deal with problems like this."
"This was my first ever session with the student. We reviewed work and energy for her upcoming test. I covered with her the difference between conservative and nonconservative forces and how friction plays a role. I explained to her why friction is a negative value as well as the Law of Conservation of Energy. We then did practice problems and I reviewed her homework. In her homework, she had to review spring potential energy and gravitational kinetic and potential energy."
