Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is preparing for his math final reviewing synthetic division, similarity theorems, polynomials of higher degree, trig functions, graphing functions, etc."
"The student and I continued to go through his final exam review packet. We were able to get through two parts today (the part due this week, and the part due next week)."
"Topics Covered: - Year in Review. - Summer plans. Progress Achieved: - The student scored a 101% on his last Trig test! - He currently has an A in his class. - We worked through the non computer part of his final review packet."
"We covered trigonometric identities. The student was struggling with order of operations. She had a great attitude. As an added bonus we proved all the trigonometric identities to gain better understanding where these come from (instead of memorizing formulas). One strategy we used is simplifying the problems into more recognizable and easier to solve problems."
"Today The student focused on her precalculus homework. Her homework this week consisted of determining asymptotes, holes, and domain of given polynomial functions. We also strengthened her factoring skills as she was a bit unsure as to how go about factoring a polynomial with a coefficient greater than 1. I showed her an easier method and she seemed to find it much easier after that."
"Today, the student and I started off going over his recent quiz to determine how to avoid his mistakes in the future. We then went over the sum and difference trig formulas. He picked those up very quickly, so we worked ahead slightly on the double-angle, half-angle, and power-reduction formulas."
