Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on defining domains and ranges of functions, solving word problems, and creating graphs of piecewise functions. He had a decent grasp of the material, though with some extra independent practice he can understand the information much better."
"Today we worked on the homework problems on the topic of absolute value equations and inequalities. The student has a test on Thursday. We reviewed the topics which would be covered on the test and practiced using some of the textbook problems."
"I went over some topics in physics with the student today, including waves and interference, and nuclear physics. He has a decent understanding of these topics and how to set up and solve the problems we went over."
"The student and I went over his summer homework. He is a bright young man, and understands complex ideas quickly. However, I did notice that his foundations were a bit shaky, especially in Algebra 2. Tomorrow, he will be finishing up his summer homework, and we will begin going over material from Algebra 2 in order to strengthen his foundations."
"The student had an assignment in his textbook and we worked through each problem. He had to summarize a set of data from either summary data or the actual raw data. A discussion on the center, spread, shape, and unusual data values was required as well. We had about thirty minutes left after the assignment and we used it to review everything up to that point before his first test this coming week."
"Today the student went over all the exercises from her homework, and solved them successfully. In addition, she solved several word problems that involved turning sentences into equations. She is performing well in manipulating equations to isolate desired variables, and is gaining speed and enthusiasm."
