"She has a test on Monday, so we went over Genetics material for that exam. We concentrated on the more difficult topics of Mitosis/Meiosis and tracked ploidy and chromosome number throughout each process. I told her to text or email me if she needed anything else while she was studying."

"We reviewed SN1/SN2 reactions and mechanisms. We covered reactions involving alkynes, including oxidation, elimination, hydration, esterification, and carbon-carbon synthesis. We covered strategies to use when asked to synthesize a product given a starting material, such as acetylene. Also, we covered key mechanisms that will be critical for success in Organic II course. I demonstrated the relationship between mechanisms shown in alkyne chapter along with alkene chapter."
"We covered concepts related to writing acid base reactions and identifying whether the acids and bases were weak or strong. We also talked about gas laws including Dalton's law and the ideal gas law. Toward the end, we reviewed the student's old tests to fill in the gaps of any concepts she did not understand."
"We covered all of the topics included on the worksheet which form the basis for the student's quiz on Monday. This includes pH, pOH, [H+] and [OH-] conversions, along with properties of acids and bases, and also neutralization reactions. She seemed to understand concepts relatively quickly and was able to do most of the practice problems I gave her after instruction on how to do similar problems. I think that after going through all of the topics again and doing some challenging problems, she should be prepared for her quiz."
"The student went over material for a possible quiz on Monday. She did really great on converting names of chemical compounds to their formula names, balancing equations, identifying limiting and excess reagents, and calculating amount of excess reagents left over after the reaction."
