Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went through chapters 2 and 3 of his textbook. The material involved were fractions, algebraic expression, and graphing inequalities. In addition we reviewed his science from last tutoring session."
"In this ONE hour session, the student and I went over Rolle's theorem and Shell's theorem. We spent most of the time reviewing and doing a lot of sample problems. He didn't seem to have such a hard time with the concepts. Also, we went over some cross section problems; most of which he did very well on."
"Today, the student and I worked on exponential and logarithms to prepare for the current unit test that she has on Tuesday. Because she was in class for most of the material for this unit, she understood most of the material and was just confused on a few things that were cleared up by the end of the session. We went through two homework worksheets as practice for the test but were not able to finish all of them. She also had a review sheet for the test that she was going to do as practice to further prepare for the test. We will most likely finish up unit 4 the next time we meet so that she can retake the unit 3 and 4 tests asap."
"The student reviewed for her retake over word problems that involve quadratic functions and solving quadratic functions using complete the square process or the quadratic formula. She solved quadratics that had complex terms as well as complex answers."
"The student and I did her biweekly practice, which covered 3 AP calculus free response questions on derivatives, local extrema, points of inflection, sketching graphs and concavity. She has a good understanding of the material and of solving the problems."
"We utilized this week's session to prepare the student for his upcoming Algebra 2 exam. We went through practice problems on his study guide in great detail and he was doing extremely well by the end of the lesson. Once he had a firm grasp on everything, he displayed significant confidence in his ability to complete the problems. After the session concluded, he was looking forward to taking his exam."
