Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session with the student we worked on her project assignment. The assignment consisted of reading a children's Spanish book and writing a summary of the story in Spanish. Then she had to memorize the summary in order to present it in front of her class. I worked with her on the pronunciation and memorization of the summary. She did a great job and was able to memorize it."
"The student has a quiz on Friday, so we went over all forms of commands. She made note sheets for each form she expects to see (tu, usted, vosotros, nosotros). We made a study plan for the next couple of days. She mentioned she knows she will do better if she gives more effort, and has been talking to her teacher more, which is really helpful to her."
"This week we reviewed the preterit and the imperfect Spanish tenses. We particularly focused on creating sentences that use both the preterit and the imperfect in the same sentence. I find that it is very helpful for the student to create his own sentences because as he does so, he practices masculine and feminine pronouns as well as practicing new vocabulary and grammar points. We then moved on to introducing the future and conditional tenses. Next session we will continue to work on future tenses and perfecting present and past tenses."
