"The student had questions about some aspects of gravitation, so we worked on some problems she was assigned. It seems to be a more conceptual problem she is having rather than algebraic. She knows how to apply an equation, but she had a question as to when to use which one. I let her know she can send me problems when she has questions, and I will try to send her the thought process I used to solve it so she can think through them."
"We covered most of chapter 9, and started on Chapter 10. We reviewed a few problems using momentum and energy conservation, thereby drilling the general process for using conservation laws. I emphasized the idea of accounting for energy and momentum in the initial and final situations. We began rotational motion. We covered rotational kinematics, ending on a conceptual example I will return to next time, intended to highlight the most confusing parts of understanding the difference between rotational and linear motion."
"We covered simple harmonic motion in dynamic spring mechanics problems. The most struggle was with the different parts of simple harmonic motion. I told the student to review what we covered and come back with questions."
