Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Well, I think the student is ready. He has good outlines for each essay prompt and, when I randomly quiz him on the IDs, he demonstrates a thorough understanding. I look forward to helping Kevin with history (or English) in the future."
"The student and I went through three lecture powerpoints from her Biology class and reviewed the material because she is preparing for a test she has this week. We went through half of the material that will be on the test, and then I checked her understanding by asking her to answer questions that were on the provided practice exam from last year."
"This was my first session with the student. We started by going over some of her mistakes on her recent quizzes. We then went through chapter 7 notes on exponential and logarithmic functions followed by lots of review questions with applications of such functions. Her confidence was low coming in but by the end of the session I could see that she was much more confident and she was understanding the concepts more thoroughly. Our focus this week was for her exam quiz and exam on chapter 7. In the upcoming weeks, we will go through new and old material to prepare her for the exam in mid December and her final exam mid January."
"The student and I covered practice AP Calculus problems in preparation for the AP test. The problems included a variety of material including, differential equations, definite and indefinite integrals, exponential growth and decay, and areas between curves."
"We resumed the interactive math games; multiplication of 6,7, 8, and 9. He did well. He was engaged throughout the session. The student began working on the worksheets I left two weeks ago. We also did three interactive math games; multiplication, exponents and fractions."
