The student has his chemistry final tomorrow. He spent part of the day studying and wanted just to go over a few topics that he wanted to be clear on.  Those topics included solubility rules, weak/strong acids/bases, VSEPR, stoichiometry, and gas laws.  Overall, he seems to have retained a lot of information. He is on his way of doing well on his final.

The student and I reviewed materials for the history exam, and the English literature exam. The majority of our time was spent discussing tone and style in two excerpts, one prose and one poetry. Next, we made a general plan of attack for next week. Then we spent the last few minutes covering a few math problems that she had questions about.

The student and I went over chapter five, which covered functions. I had her complete the chapter test, and she did relatively well on it. She was a bit hazy on the concept of direct variation, but it turned out it wasn't covered very much in class (this is usually the case). Out of all of the calculations, she only made 4 or 5 errors, so she's definitely being more careful with her work!
