Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over percent composition and how to work out empirical and molecular formulas from limited given data. He was very receptive to the teachings and seemed to easily get the concepts. He is very intelligent and needs little help. I suggested for exams he should clean up his handwriting but that is the only suggestion I had for him. Overall he is a very intelligent young man and will succeed in his class if he continues at the pace he is currently going."
"The student was going to have a quiz on Nuclear chemistry, so during our tutoring session we went over the five different nuclear equations with examples to help her study."
"We did a review of Chemistry material in preparation for the student's upcoming test. We reviewed solutions and solubility, including alloys, saturation, and stoichiometry of solutions. We also went over acid/base equilibria, as well as titration. We also covered dilutions and general solution preparation. Overall, the student seems well-prepared for her test."
"We spent the majority of the time covering Dalton's Law on Partial Pressures. Together, we read the section covering partial pressures as a review of the concepts and important equations. We then moved on to the homework problems to test his understanding. He had a bit of trouble recognizing how to start the problem, although he knew the concepts and equations individually. After a bit of direction, he began to see the pattern and how to apply the equations. At the end, we also reviewed the gas laws and the ideal gas law equation."
