"The new material was over the ideal gas law and she was focused on how to interpret the data given to plug them into the PV = nRT equation. We went through several problems so that she could understand the material better and she was able to very quickly do problems by the end of our session. She has improved greatly since I started working with her."
"We went over the student's recent prelabs involving single and double replacement reactions. We also went over the student's homework involving enthalpy and went over Lewis dot structures. We also briefly previewed molecular geometry. The student seemed to understand the material very well."
"The student just took an exam before spring break, so we had a chance to go over his test. He definitely showed improvement, and told me he was much more confident this time around. We went over the problems he struggled with on the test. We then moved on to the new material which covered pressure, and eventually leading into the gas laws. We focused on some of the homework problems that asked how to calculate pressure, as well as converting between the different units of pressure. Finally, I helped him understand mm Hg, and how mercury was used to calculate a gas pressure."
