Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we covered the period between Reconstruction and World War I. The last time we'd met the student had been working on the Gilded Age, so together we covered the various reactions to industrialization (in the cities, in the country), its benefits and problems, the rise of radicalism in town and country, the Populist Party and the 1896 election, the split in the Republican Party between Progressives and the old guard, and Progressive legislation. The student had not been instructed in most of this, so the session consisted of me "telling the story.""
"We went over New Deal policies. We went over primary sources - that was her homework from class. We will meet again on Tuesday. The student should be reading the next chapter: Global Crisis. We will discuss overview of chapter and any questions she has. I really look forward to working with her more and get her caught up in time to pass the year."
"The student and I went over DBQs again this week. The student drew comparisons in her DBQ assignment which asked her to compare and contrast two different topics."
