Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We completed the questions about the constants of vertex form of the equation and their effects on the graph. Then we finished the problems of finding vertex form of an equation from its graph. Lastly, we worked on problems of finding the general equation from the vertex form. The student did well on these problems. She will have an exam next week. She is getting better."
"He has a test later this week, so we completed several types of problems with logarithms and exponential functions. He is mostly fine, except possibly not being very familiar with the change of base formula."
"Student A and I continued working on equations and inequalities. He picked up the lessons very quickly and was able to solve for variables with minimal help. He sometimes forgets that a coefficient with a variable implies multiplication, but with practice, he will master it in no time. Student B and I reviewed angles and lines for an upcoming test he will be taking. He was able to answer most questions in a very short time, so I believe he is ready for the test, and we will be able to move on at our next session."
"We reviewed quadratic equations and their properties. At the beginning I checked his work on natural logarithms."
"We began our session with the student working on his science study guide for his exam tomorrow. We covered mole conversions and dimensional analysis. He then worked on his math topics from today's test including quadratic equations and graphing."
"The student and I covered multiple uses of trigonometric functions in the areas of triangle construction and geometric constructions with limited information."
