Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over all the student's questions then gave her several pointers as to how to calculate forces and how to resolve them into a set of orthogonal frame of reference. I gave her multiple problems to solve where she took the lead and I guided her. I recommended to practice at home. Next, we will practice applying the 2nd law of Newton. We will practice resolving forces into different axes and computing the net force acting on an object."
"We reviewed characteristics of the periodic groups for an upcoming test going over affinity, electronegativity, atomic radius, energy level, and so forth. Following this, we went over Pre-calculus questions the student had in solving power equations. He had a strong grasp on both subject matters and should do fine on both tests."
"During this session, the student and I reviewed the nomenclature rules for binary ionic compound and polyatomic compounds. We also practiced a couple of stoichiometry problems specifically mole to mole and gram to mole. I think she has shown a good grasp of the materials. At the end of the session, she asked for clarification of the difference between ionic and covalent compounds, and I will put together a worksheet to help us explore this topic in more depth during our next session."
