"The student and I went over key terms for his new unit. This unit covers Wilson's administration and the US's involvement in WWI. I introduced the concept of anti-imperialism, anti-business and isolationism as a theme to Wilson's personality and administration. We made flashcards for the terms. I will check in about test scores next session."
"We covered his IDs today, centering around the 1910s and 1920s. We discussed the Teapot Dome Scandal, the ERA, the First New Deal, and the Immigration Act of 1924, among other things. We discussed the effects of WWI, the new wave of "undesirable" immigrants, and women's rights. He did a great job of asking questions and understanding the context."
"Today we reviewed Chapters 34 and 35, both about WWII. We discussed the events that led to war, through the Battle of Normandy and liberation of the camps. She is a bit behind, but she is usually very good with military history and should have no trouble bouncing back with this material."
