"I am currently a 6th grade teacher, I teach Math, English/Language Arts (ELA), and Social Studies. One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is the knowing that not only can I help my students, but my students help me. I learn from my students each day and I think that has helped me to become a better teacher.
I enjoy all of the subjects I teach, it’s hard for me to choose one as my favorite. Math is all around us and I feel it’s important for my students to be aware of that – it doesn’t just happen in a textbook."

"I graduated from Swarthmore College in May of 2011 with a major in Mandarin Chinese and minors in Biology and Philosophy, and I've been tutoring with Varsity since the fall of 2011. Chinese has been my passion since ninth grade, when I began studying the language and culture at Bard High School Early College. Much of my teaching experience has involved Chinese, most intensely during the summer of 2011 when I worked full time at a school in Queens teaching Mandarin-speaking children how to read and write Chinese characters. My first time teaching Chinese was while in college: I tutored two second graders in an after school program." ...
