"The student read ch.7 of "The Pirates" and answered 2 pages of worksheet questions about the chapter. She continues to improve in her fluidity of reading Spanish. She says she doesn't comprehend it all, but it doesn't show when she's reading. I told her to feel free to ask me about anything she doesn't understand and I will help her. The student is caught up on her work in Spanish so far. Hopefully her teacher will send her more work this week that we can work on next Saturday together."
"We worked on her Algebra work first. We reviewed a quiz she had taken before and discussed why she had gotten the problems wrong. We went through every example and at the end, she understood why she had gotten those problems wrong. After, we practiced factoring quadratic functions and we discussed it in terms of the box method. It seems like she really likes this method and it makes it a bit clearer for her. She was confused in some areas, so we went through several examples to make sure she understood it really well. After we finished that, we practiced her Spanish Homework. She was in preparation for a Quiz this week that would encompass several areas. I hope that she is able to do well."
"I asked the student what she most needed help with and what materials she would find most useful for me to prepare. She told me she mostly needed help conjugating verbs in the preterite and imperfect tenses, so I prepared two tables to use as a study guide. I also asked her to send me a copy of her graded test so we could go over it during our next session."
