Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed possessive indicators and how to utilize them as well as reviewed e:ie changing verbs. The student did really well, went through quizzes, and was able to edit her mistakes and show understanding of the concepts."
"The student needed a lot of help today, especially since he has not only a Spanish exam tomorrow that we prepared for thoroughly in this session but also biology and art class tests. He had a lot of questions that I was able to answer for all of these extra subjects besides Spanish. I quizzed him on Spanish vocabulary and also biology and art terms."
"Today, we continued our lesson with the subjunctive mood in Spanish (particularly expressions using it) and listened to videos. Next week, we will finish this as well as go over what we worked on in our sessions."
"Today, the student and I covered new vocabulary he's been working on the last few classes regarding food and describing people and things. We also took a look at a new boot stem changing verb - venir. He still needs to work on his familiar and fluency with the conjugation chart, but he doesn't seem to struggle with the idea of a stem change, so it seems to me he just needs more practice with conjugation in general. In future sessions, I would like to conduct more conjugation drills to help him work on that skill. I also plan to work more with his pronunciation."
"We were checking the present perfect playing a memory game, and at the same time we practiced the use of the word "while." The student did a great job; he used new verbs and also learned new vocabulary, especially when we started to read a book about the history of football. I told him that he needs to read more in Spanish and he is going to write down the new vocabulary so every lesson we can talk about it and use it."
"The student is a beginner in Spanish. We reviewed concepts of his last sessions and expanded into vocabulary and greetings. He needs to build up vocabulary before we can even get into a basic conversation. He has a very good attitude towards learning a new language."
