Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered some questions on scatterplots that were included in a packet provided by her teacher and later some questions for her state assessment prep. I think she understands scatterplots well, at least the ones we covered today."
"This last few sessions with the student have gone pretty well and I've been able to notice significant improvements in her understanding. It is obvious the continuity of our lessons has proven to be a key for her."
"We reviewed for the student's test tomorrow. Most of the session time was spent working through problems on integration methods and polar coordinates. She seems comfortable with most of the material."
"Today we kept working with multiple steps fraction equations. The student needed help with them; we still are practicing these kind of exercises hoping he gets more familiar and confident. I left him homework to review the operations and steps we did in order to solve the mentioned problems."
"Today we covered topics that are commonly missed on the student's midterm exam for chapters 1-6. Specifically, we covered factoring and graphing polynomial equations, various factoring strategies, and solving and graphing absolute value equations. The student was doing very well with all of the material, but sometimes needed help with getting started on a problem or identifying the type of problem he was looking at. He was very motivated and fairly confident with the material. He was left with finishing his study guide."
"Moving forward with the lessons, we took a step into looking at composition of functions and inverses. Today I went through extra practice and introduced some harder concepts to the student so that the easier ones would be a breeze for her."
