"The student told me his quiz/test would involve direct translation from English to Spanish where he would have to pick between conjugating the verbs in the indicative, subjunctive, or command form. We also continued to practice indirect and direct objects and the vocabulary for the chapter. I gave him 40 or so practice questions using the various grammar types and vocabulary words. I was pleased with his progress."
"The student and I completed her homework online. This homework included new vocabulary and working in conjugating verbs in the future tense. We also defined words together in Spanish. Once we finished her homework we completed two exercises out of the Spanish textbook. She is a very hard worker who really wants to understand and master the material and she should be very proud of all she is learning!"
"We discussed the student's blog assignments. The student finds conjugation to be a challenge. She is now doing the subjunctive. I don't give the student extra practice since her assignments are lengthy and complex. Her dedication to this course is admirable."
"I helped the student today with the future indicative tense in Spanish. We went over the exercises in her book and I gave her some advice on how to remember the irregular verbs. After we finished going over the future indicative tense, we moved onto the future subjunctive tense to get ahead in the material. I compared both for her and showed her what the main difference is in each case."
"Today the student and I went over the present perfect tense again, with some materials I prepared beforehand. We also went over her homework, which dealt with oral comprehension. She is having a much easier time completing assignments, and only occasionally needs to be guided through a problem. I left her some materials to study and complete for our next session."
"We worked on vocabulary of things of the house and sentence construction. She struggles with verbs. She has extra practice: some regular verbs in present tense."
