Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During our last session, the student and I continued to review material from the list that we worked on in the session prior. We began with a brief review of logs and quadratic equations and soon began working on solving and graphing composite functions, the mathematical concept of taking one equation and plugging it into another. Finally, we briefly touched upon problems comprising of quadratic fractions and tried to come up with the best way for him to find the least common multiple in the shortest amount of time."
"The student had a math homework worksheet on time that needed to be completed by her, so I just oversaw her progress and made that she did not have any issues. She had no issues completing the assignment on her own. After which, we covered some more 2-digit subtraction problems. She is coming along quite nicely - especially in terms of understanding, order of operations, efficiency, and speed."
"We worked on a practice problem set. She was very positive. In general, she is doing very well. She is going to work on a few other problem sets during this week."
"The student's homework was a worksheet that involved interpreting a graph of miles v time. He did well after we discussed the problem together. I gave him additional practice working with the slope formula after he had completed his homework."
"The student and I worked on more probability problems that involved independent and dependent events. He seems to understand these concepts well. We went through a few problems that involved solving log functions in order to prepare for his exam next week."
"The student worked on the chapter review in the textbook that covered the functions, relations, a linear/nonlinear function, continuous and discrete functions, and reviewed writing a linear function from a word problem. He also worked ahead, looking at the Pythagorean theorem which we had first looked at last week. He worked on problems that practiced the Pythagorean theorem and identifying the Pythagorean triplets."
