Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Tonight we went over t-test results and logistic regression results. The student seems to be feeling much more comfortable with STATA as well as with the particular data he has been working with. The work we did tonight was building upon analyses he had run with another person who is very familiar with STATA."
"We covered limits, trig functions and substitutions, and L'Hopital's rule. We also went over a specific free response question and examined the physical interpretations of integrals and derivatives. The student has a good attitude towards the material, and even stated that she has fun doing math."
"The student and I had a good session today. She just started working on isolating and solving for different variables. We worked through a lot of practice problems as what I think she needs most is more experience working through different techniques. Overall, she caught on quickly."
"Did an overview of basic probability, including counting rules, Venn diagrams, addition/multiplication rules, and conditional probability. Nice work! He seems to understand things intuitively."
"Last day before the Econ math exam 2. We reviewed from a previous exam and did many practice problems. With some additional practice with integration I think she is ready."
"As this was the day before the student's big assessment exam test, we worked mainly high-level on adding/subtracting fractions and multiplying/dividing decimals. We worked on reading through a problem and taking out the key pieces in order to solve. The student is really feeling confident about the material and himself."
