Tutoring review by Travis in Brooklyn, NY
We went over test topics, including strategies for the overall test. After this, we went through his diagnostic on the math session only. It took a while because we walked through the 11 problems he missed but he feels much better about the overall possibilities in math. I think he just needed to slow down on some things. Progress for the first session was great.

Tutoring review by John in Brooklyn, NY
This was my first tutoring session with the students.  Student 1 did not seem to have any trouble thus far with the content covered in her class or with her homework, so the session revolved primarily around Student 2.  Topics covered and reviewed included:  polynomial factoring, polynomial expansion, and adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing polynomial functions (finding the common denominator).  Student 2 seemed to feel much better at the end of the session with these topics and felt more confident for her upcoming quiz on Friday (8/26).

Tutoring review by Fernando in Brooklyn, NY
We continued to work on some homework assignments that the student needed to catch up on as a way to review concepts. He was able to effectively solve systems of equations problems as well as inequality problems. He had no problem graphing points or drawing lines from the equation. There was a bit of review that needed to be done on inequalities and how to determine which side of a line to shade, but by the end of the session he understood it much better. With the exception of some assignments that the student will ask his teacher about, we are all caught up on his missing assignments.

The student has been doing a good job keeping up with school and extracurricular activities.  We spent today's session prioritizing the work he has for tonight and the rest of the week.  I went over the chemistry concepts in biology with him to prepare him for his upcoming test.

Went over Chapter 14 in detail. We went over rate laws and problems related to rate laws. This was a very extensive chapter so we took the time to address it topic by topic. I assigned him some problems within the chapter, and we will go over the next chapter during the next session and test material for his upcoming exam.

Tutoring review by Jessica in Brooklyn, NY
TUTORING SESSION: 3 of 6; DATE: Saturday, December 8; TIME: 1:30:3:30; LOCATION: Coffee shop; OVERVIEW: This was my third tutoring session with the student. We worked on the journal a bit together and discussed his creative ideas for it. For tutoring, we covered reading comprehension, discussing tips and techniques. We also completed many practice passages together. He continues to be a very strong, smart student with honestly only average or less than average trouble in the reading comprehension section.
