Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered dum clauses, the perfect tense, and infinitives as he reviewed for his Latin class. He seems like he understands the concepts pretty well, so all we have to do is work on recognition and he should be golden. I saw that he got a 98 on his previous vocab quiz. He is doing great!"
"Today, we covered the next two chapters in a Latin book with a focus on the imperfect and future forms of the first two conjugations as well as the irregular verbs sum, esse and possum, posse. These chapters mostly encompassed learning new verb endings and mostly require memorization. I recommend continuing to do the exercises in the back of the book and completing additional practice from the workbook as needed."
"This session we studied for the student's upcoming text by working on some Latin to English translation sentences. While translating we reviewed noun/ adjective declensions, verb conjugations, and translation strategies. She was struggling to translate according to Latin cases, as opposed to stringing together the English meanings. I sent her a review sheet on the negative imperative to look over afterward."
