Ariel The world is a book, and those who don't travel only read one page.... Each student is different, therefore, my teaching philosophy is to find out his/her strength and weakness, then come up with a personalized way of teaching.... By giving them assignments they are interested in and letting them know I am available to help them but won't do their work for them.... By encouraging them often. Learning a language can be difficult, especially if there is very limited opportunity to practice. I would encourage my students when they have done something right and let them know they are making good progress.

Dan ...Chinese speakers could have. I have been teaching Chinese with non-native speakers for two years, and recently I have been teaching Chinese with little kids. I've found that before age 6, kids can quickly and correctly learn tones, and after 6 they can learn characters and strokes and better understand sentence structure. No matter what ages my students are, I like to use games and role playing to practice with them, because it's fun and...
