Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered organic chemistry structure and bonding today. He had some difficulty with concepts that were not introduced in class. We remedied most of his difficulties. He is a quick learner and I look forward to working with him again in the future."
"The student and I covered the last 75 questions in her study guide. Over the course of our sessions, she has become much more comfortable in explaining her step-wise rationale for her answers, which has helped her to make her way through questions for which she has not necessarily memorized the correct answer. This is essential when dealing with the amount of information contained in her physiology course. We then reviewed some of the questions we had wanted to go back and find more information on (mostly concerning central integration of certain pathways). Understandably, she had the most difficulty with identifying small nuances of a question (for example, recognizing that she is being asked to differentiate erythropoiesis, the process, and erythropoietin, the hormone). However, she is becoming much more adept at searching for these details and, as a result, is finding more success in both comprehending and utilizing the information she possesses. We will be meeting once more before her exam to go through any last minute questions or confusions she may have, and to arm her with test-day strategies."
"We went over the structure of DNA and RNA. The student had a few questions on details. Overall, I think he is doing well."
