In regards to the student's previous exam, we covered basic topics including mitosis, meiosis, reproduction, and diffusion. Some of the topics were confusing to the student because they weren't clearly covered at her school. When we went over some of the material, she was pleasantly satisfied at how simple they were once we reviewed them.
Once we were done going over her previous exam, we moved onto the topics that are to be covered on her upcoming exam. Mainly, the chapter covered all aspects of Ecology. We were able to start the material and I made sure that anything and everything that she would need in order to do well on her upcoming state exam and quite possibly an AP biology exam were covered. She was very pleased with this approach.
