Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This was a pretty good session, going over conics and drawing parabolas based on the focus and directrix line. It was pretty straightforward and simple after he understood the concept. He made minimal errors and got through the worksheet relatively quickly. We talked about some non-tutoring related things as well, which I think strengthened our relationship as well."
"This session was spent on reviewing for a test covering the solving of exponential and log equations. Some of the prep involved changing from log the exp form and vice versa, also changing from multiple terms to a single log expression. There were also some application problems involving exponential growth and decay. We highlighted the various rules governing logs and exp as we worked thru the review. Session went very well"
"We covered the material from the student's exam study worksheet. The material dealt with statistical analysis of data (i.e. mean, standard deviation, sigmas, percentages, and percentiles). This was a continuation of the material we covered from a previous session. She has a great understanding of the material. I again asked that she think about the answer she calculated to determine if it make sense. Does the answer of a test score being in the 20% percentile make sense if the test score being evaluated is greater than the mean. No it doesn't, it should be greater than the 50% percentile. She is well prepared for her exam and I expect her to score accordingly."
"We covered irrational math problems, multi-variable systems of equations, and London dispersion forces."
"We reviewed probability, conditional probability, independence, and mutually exclusive. The student's attitude was very positive."
"We went over different allocations of integration. The student seemed very adept at learning our new material. He understood very well."
