"We practiced writing more flowchart proofs using the triangle congruence theorems. Then we previewed the next two sections, which deal with sums of polygon angles."
"We went over the student's geometry homework on finding an endpoint of a line segment using the other endpoint and the midpoint. Her homework also included determining slopes and graphing lines given their equations (not in slope-y-intercept form). We also worked on her chemistry homework (element crossword puzzle). She said she has a chemistry test on Tuesday so we will review her material on Monday."
"Worked a large number of problems from previous lessons. We plan to meet again on Sunday in two weeks."
"We worked through problems from the book on topics that included concurrency proofs, line bisection, differences between parallel and perpendicular lines, and proof flowcharts. The student seems to have trouble with remembering some of the basics that are required for geometry, specifically having trouble remembering what slope and intercept from Algebra 1 meant. I need to assess her level of knowledge in algebra next week. I will be sending problems for her to do to test said skills before next meeting."
"Worked extensively on solving multiple exercises on ratios and proportions. Exercises were varied and some more complex and complicated than others. Student demonstrated good understanding and correctly solved the problems."
"The student has an exam this week, so we reviewed the last few lessons of chapter 5, which covered different types of quadrilaterals - parallelograms, rectangles, squares, rhombi, and trapezoids. Specifically, we focused on rhombi and trapezoids initially before working through most of the exam review she received in class. We managed to complete most of the review. She had a few points of confusion that were cleared up. I continued to counsel her on focusing on the given information and the point that needs to be proven as guides in figuring out the simplest approach to solving the problem. This was done through the proofs we worked through on the exam review."
