Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed solving trigonometric equations, focusing on checking her factoring and using trig identities. We did several practice problems, and her main problem is making occasional little mistakes in the algebra that throw her off. We then reviewed for her chemistry test, focusing on percent yield and limiting reactants. She advocated very well for herself about going over the concepts, and once we compared the concepts to cooking, she did really well."
"Today the student and I worked on reflections and translations of shapes on Cartesian planes and his progress remains steady. He had some questions in the beginning but then he proceeded to finish the majority of the questions with minimal help."
"We corrected her homework assignment on multiplying polynomials. Then we started on her homework assignment of factoring polynomials"
"Today we covered a number of geometry concepts in preparation for the final exam, which is coming soon. The student's attitude is good, as she wants to do well on her exams."
"We reviewed basic 5th grade concepts to get an idea of where he needed the most assistance. The student has mastered addition, subtraction, some multiplication facts, long division, decimals, percentages, and converting improper fractions to mixed numbers (and vice versa)."
"Today we attempted to locate subjects that the student did not remember as well in order to have them well-prepared before her final. We worked a lot on exponential growth and decay, as well as domain and range for various equations. We covered probability briefly but she felt she already had adequate knowledge of this, so we moved on. Tomorrow, we will iron out any of the kinks that are still left with exponential growth and decay and cover any more topics that she is having issues with."
