Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student managed to get an A on her physics course. She worked hard and definitely deserved it. She's begun a new physics course on E & M and is planning to take the MCAT on August 21. That gives us about 6 weeks to prepare. She did another practice test, scoring a 19. I gave her more detailed advice about studying. From working with her for the past month, I can see that timing is not a problem. Rather, she sometimes tends to go too quickly through the problems. The MCAT has so many trick questions that haste is definitely not a good way to proceed. We spent about an hour going over the physics. We cleared up a few of the trickier concepts. I'll take a look at the material over the weekend and make sure she is up to speed on the course. The intensive nature of the course makes it somewhat unforgiving for people who fall behind. Overall, the student is doing well. She will have to ramp up the MCAT studying if she wants to do well, and continue doing what she's doing for the physics."
"Today, we went over her current homework, a test problem she had questions about, and her previous homework."
"We covered potential energy curves for the entire session. We went over homework problems and overall conceptual interpretations of the subject."
