Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Worked on solving rational inequalities and domains of rational inequalities as well as their graphs."
"Conversion between polar coordinates to Cartesian coordinates; review of coterminal angles; solving for trig functions using unit circle."
"He's been doing fine in precalc but his teacher didn't explain the binomial theorem very well so we practiced using that formula to expand binomials. There were a lot of questions playing on that theme and while he thought he couldn't do them before, he was able to figure them out by the end."
"The student has her finals tomorrow so she would like to have one more review session! We started off our session by reviewing polynomials, how to graph, how to analyze and do the practice problems. She seemed to understand everything very well in this topic. On trigonometry, she had a bit of a hard time at first with visualizing. Doing a few practice problems was able to help her understand everything quickly. The only thing that is still giving her hard time is the graph of cotangent. She can draw a regular one but she would have a hard time when there was a transformation on it. Other than that, she is ready for most of trig identities, sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant and secant graphs. Overall, I would say she is 95% ready for this final!"
"This was a good session. We focused on polyatomic molecules for the quiz. New polyatomics like chlorite and sulfite were added to our list. We also reviewed determining charge on common ions and we reviewed how to distinguish charge for transition metals."
"In today's session, the student completed part 1 of her review sheet for her PreCalc exam tomorrow. Some of this stuff is difficult and she does need to do more review on her own tonight. We also figured out her online government class so she can finish unit 1 on her own tonight."
