"The student and I prepped for his English final this week. He had a long list of vocabulary words and Latin root words that he was working on memorizing. We made some flashcards, drilled the Latin roots, and started working through the list of vocab words. He seemed positive and worked hard. I left him with the assignment of completing flashcards for the vocab words that he had trouble with. I am optimistic that he will do well on his final."
"I began by working with Student 1 for 1.5 hours. We studied the Japanese Shogunate period, read several of the tasks of Heracles, and worked on a spelling quiz. My last hour was work with Student 2. We spent half the time reading about the Statue of Liberty and the other half of our hour learning about historical fiction. We read a passage related to historical fiction and Women's Suffrage."
"The student and I continued using our sentence structures to talk about our week. We worked on pronoun agreement (he/she/we/them) and translations when speaking. Next, we watched another episode of the TV sitcom we watched last time and discussed it. We talked about slang phrases and social situations that were happening in the TV show. She is going to continue to rewatch the show and come up with a list of questions and words she does not understand from it for us to discuss next time."
