"The student and I covered trig identities and simplifying expressions involving trig identities. We also practiced solving for all six trig functions given one of the function's answers, and we did some practice with reference angles, coterminal angles, and working with the quadrants in the unit circle. She needs a little more practice with memorizing the identities and working with radians in the unit circle. We will continue to work on that. Overall, she did a really great job and I saw improvement throughout our session!!"
"We focused this session on working with matrices and, in particular, on finding inverses of square matrices and using matrices to solve linear systems of equations either via Gaussian elimination or Gauss-Jordan elimination. We also discussed the methodology for putting a matrix in row echelon form or reduced row echelon form. The student seemed comfortable with the steps involved, but was questioning the use of matrices and determinants. Consequently, we discussed the applications of matrices to linear optimization and, in particular, transportation problems and the use of determinants for determining whether or not a matrix has an inverse."

We identified odd and even functions, determined composition of two functions, solved application problem about maximum value of functions, determined the coordinates of a point after particular transformation have been applied, added two functions, looked over the set of true or false questions, determined domain and range of the functions, graphed a piecewise function, and discussed preparations for the SAT."
