"I finished correcting the student's math section from last time. We are going to have to work very hard to bring her raw total up to about a 43 so that she can score her established goal of 650 on the section. She is committed to studying and putting in the time and effort, so I think she can reach her goal. She completed an essay, and I gave it a score of a 4."
"We started with Math. We talked about how some questions have quick shortcuts that will save time and reduce errors. In particular, some questions that look like systems of equations are actually more easily solved by combining the equations in some way. We also looked at sequence problems, which involve finding a pattern and usually some kind of remainder problem. Then we looked at probability and counting. To count combinations, you multiply the number of choices for the first thing by the number of choices for the second and so on. We moved on to CR. He is good at finding the relevant part of a passage to answer the question. The only time he stumbles on writing questions is when he accidentally corrects the mistake in his head. He's doing very well and should be in good shape for test day."
"We concentrated on Writing today. He had completed a diagnostic test for me, and we looked over the problems he missed. We concentrated on rearranging paragraphs as well as phrase, clause, and logic errors. He will continue looking at Writing flashcards for me for next time."
