"Homework problems in text. Basic overview of the topics the student is going to need help with. Discussed how to maximize our study time together."
"Converse theorems for proving parallel lines based off consecutive internal, alternate interior, alternate exterior and corresponding angles. Proofing form in general."
"We reviewed material for an upcoming quiz on using constructions to illustrate properties of triangles."
"The student had a re-test on Thursday of his previous unit on solids. He thinks it went well, but it has not yet been graded. His current unit is on transformations. We reviewed rotation, which he had trouble understanding in class. We also started working on a review sheet for his final exam, which is in May. We worked through problems on permutations and trigonometry. He did not remember the permutations from earlier this year, so we reviewed basic approaches to those problems. We reviewed SOH CAH TOA and did some practice problems using it."
"The student persevered today. We were productive with areas of polygons. The student got the hang of it quickly and scored a 100% on the assignment that we worked on."
"Today's session was our final review before the student's midterm. We covered examples of all the problems she will encounter. I gave her tips for taking the exam--not to waste a lot of time on harder questions but tackle the easier ones first and go back to skipped problems. She expressed confidence in the material and her ability to be successful on the exam."
