Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed number lines, absolute values and coordinate planes for his test tomorrow. The student is more than happy to work through problems."
"Today we went over Geometric shapes and properties and calculating average atomic mass in chemistry."
"We covered factoring higher degree polynomials, completing the square, and finding rational zeros for higher degree polynomials. She was receptive to the material."
"The student was a joy to work with! She attacked the problems with enthusiasm and curiosity. Today we discussed the first derivative and how we can use it to derive information about a function. She quickly grasped the relationship between the functions. To alleviate some trouble she has been having with other topics, we revisited the graphs of the sine and cosine functions. This will be an ongoing review topic and should help her in the next few chapters. For further practice after our session, she will finish the homework problems assigned and alert me of any trouble she encounters."
"This session we began to go through some of the material that was involved in the student's last minute effort to finish off the homework. The concepts included things such as an introduction to limits and domain of functions. He seemed to do pretty well with the domains of functions concept but the concept of a limit was a bit more difficult for him. This is something we can work on clearing up."
"Covered trigonometric derivatives, definition of derivatives, and limits of quotients that involve L'Hopital's rule."
