Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has another exam tomorrow so we went over the material for that exam. It dealt mainly with matrices and solving linear/non-linear equations. Considering the fast-paced nature of the class, he seems to be doing well keeping up with the information. He had a test yesterday, has one tomorrow, and has the final on Friday. He seems to be getting the concepts as we go through the practice problems, so as long as he keeps that up, he should be fine."
"The student and I went over her chemistry homework and extra credit. We reviewed for her test going over period trends and the quantum mechanic model. I asked her to make note cards to help her with her geometry theorems and postulates."
"Reviewed idea development for comparative essay writing and discussed some techniques of dissecting and analyzing literature as preparation for the student's English assignment. He made some progress in his understanding of how to distill the themes and meaning in poetry and how to support his ideas using passage based evidence. "
"We continued talking about the basic steps of algebra and then moved further in to deal with exponents and the theory behind them. The student ended the lesson with a much improved understanding of how to multiply and divide numbers and variables with exponents."
"Continued going over verbal passages and verbal strategy to better help the student improve her score. Discussed the process of applying to medical school, and gave her advice on how to prepare the best application possible so she can be a competitive candidate."
"Today we went over how to create the database in SQL Server and how to connect the database to the Visual Studio project. I showed him how to use Entity Framework to pull the data from the database into the combo box and how to update the textbox based on the data selected in the combo box."
