Award-Winning Latin Tutors in Austin, TX
John I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. In spite of my English background, I do a lot of math and physics tutoring. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.... Positivity. Always. I believe that if a student is given positive tools and is allowed to understand the material rather than be lectured at, they're more likely to do well in the future.

Samantha Although I spend my days teaching in a classroom, I love moonlighting at a tutor because of the individualized attention that my students receive. I bring several years of classroom experience to the table, as well as a teaching credential from the University of Oxford and a BA from Northwestern University. While my classroom experience is in English/reading and history, my tutoring experience has been in everything from math to foreign languages.

Matthew ...range from medieval Scholasticism to contemporary issues in bioethics and law. I believe that tutoring is not only about the transfer of knowledge between the tutor and the student, but also a transfer of skills, which would help the student learn how to find the answer himself or herself and to solve whatever academic problems come his or her way. Equally, important is demonstrating the real-world application of what a student is doing.

Whatever the needs, I will cater to your personal educational tastes and engage...
Sabrina ...and passions is Latin, which has recently (along with a Linguistics class) inspired such an awe for the mechanisms of language that I have since started experimenting with different poetic meters. Daniel I grew up in Belgium before moving to Los Angeles in 2010, and now I live in New York. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Bioethics and Natural Sciences and recently was accepted to medical school. Matthew ...level, for the past four years. I primarily tutor subjects relating to the Humanities, such as Ancient Languages, History, and English Composition. My favorite subject to tutor is Latin, since I regard Latin as the most beautiful and intricate of the human languages. When tutoring I first ask for a copy of the course syllabus/schedule, assess the needs, goals, and expectations of the student in the course, and then set up a tutoring system that...
Jason I have been a Latin teacher for twenty years teaching all levels of Latin including Advanced Placement and collegiate Latin at multiple schools and universities. I am now living my dream of completing law school, and the content knowledge and study habits I developed in high school and college helped me on my journey, and I'd love to help you on yours. ... My teaching philosophy centers on taking seemingly difficult subjects and breaking concepts down into simpler components and showing students how they work together to create complete concepts.
Jason ...individual, tailored tutoring to many students over the years. In addition to helping students with specific subjects, I frequently help them with time-management, study skills, academic-life balance, and strategies to make sure they benefit the most from their time in and out of the classroom. I most enjoy tutoring Latin and writing. I love helping students with their essays and showing them how to build an effective argument because the ability to communicate and demonstrate...
