Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Tonight, we reviewed the student's last test. He had several issues with verbs and remembering vocabulary and/or spelling things correctly. I made a list of things that he needs to study with examples and gave tips for study strategies. We worked on a new topic of imperfect verb forms and talking about past hobbies. There are several new vocab terms he needs to study."
"Today we reviewed words from her past sessions, such as body parts, colors and name of things. I gave her two worksheets and she did well. We also went over the verbs that she is learning with her flash cards and a song. We wrote sentences and practiced repeating them. For extra practice she only has to review her verbs, since there are quite a few of them. The student is doing well so far and enjoys the songs."
"The student is able to use interrogative words to ask and answer questions about what she and her friends do in school, ask questions about school clothes and school supplies, and ask questions about what her friends do before, during, and after school. We reviewed the use of present tense -ar verbs and practiced the irregular verbs IR to go, DAR to give, and ESTAR to be. She knows there are two verbs in Spanish that mean to be 'ser' and 'estar'. She knows how to conjugate both verbs and when to use each one appropriately. The student has two practice activities to complete before next weeks session. She is doing well in her Spanish class at school."
