Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began work on his geometry homework and practiced the skills needed to complete the following week's homework, as well."
"The student is a willing learner which works well for everyone! Initially he had questions about determining the length of line segments on Cartesian diagrams and determining the midpoint of lines given the coordinates. The student and I broke down a problem and we worked through it step by step. I gave him multiple examples to test his understanding and he seemed to do well."
"This first session with the student went great. We looked back on one of his tests, went over the problems and strategies. We also worked through homework problems and methods of approaching and completing the problems. We went over simple, but effective ways on covering algebra and fraction arithmetic. I feel that we are working well together and that there will be plenty of room to progress."
"The student and I completed all homework that was due this week. We worked mostly with finding the volumes and specific missing dimensions of three dimensional shapes. He did very well. At times he mixes up the formulas he has memorized and forgets which is used for what so we will work on that some more. I asked him to make sure he memorizes the formulas for slope, distance, midpoint, and the general equations of a line. He is very smart and continues to have a positive attitude."
"We covered lateral area and surface area. The student did not struggle on any concepts. She has a positive and has a confident attitude about the material."
"The student and I reviewed a worksheet with problems on circles: circumscribed polygons, areas of segments. He understood the material; he still needs to be more disciplined in showing his work."
