Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session, the student and I worked on his Aztec civilization project. He had a story they had read in class called "Iztaccihuatl y Popocatepetl," an Aztec legend. We discussed the story and he made graphic organizers for the main characters, their emotions, the consequences of their emotions and other possible outcomes this legend could have had. He answered comprehension questions in full detail and discussed his Papel Amate project that he would be doing next week. We also made a list of words and definitions of the vocabulary words he would be expected to know for the next quiz and began studying them. We ended the session by discussing the Aztec culture and civilization to give him ideas for his report on them."
"We reviewed for his upcoming test. We went over when to use the subjunctive vs. the indicative, commands (positive, negative, and with pronouns), and ser vs. estar."
"Today it was our first session and we have agreed to work mostly on her communication skills. She bought a Spanish book for social workers and that is the book we will be using."
