"The student and I worked on a math assignment that covered converting from and to fractions and percentages. He did very well with the new material and is prepared to build on it. We then reviewed a completed history assignment and did some extra practice on reading comprehension with it."
"We reviewed the student's end of semester math test. He did not complete the test and missed a few sections of the test. He needs practice and review with adding mixed fractions and subtracting negative numbers. I will review these concepts with him and reinforce with extra practice. Today he worked on his homework assignment which focused on using ratios and same units. He understood the concept and was able to apply it to his problems correctly. He did well today."
"The student and I worked on reading comprehension, specifically determining the meaning of unknown words using context clues. We continue to identify nouns, adjectives, and verbs, and we have begun to work together to correctly identify and use adverbs."

"Conducted a test review for graphing polynomial functions. Went over end behaviors for graphs based on the given function's highest degree, in addition to proper answer notation. Reviewed how to solve for intercepts and zeros. Practiced solving for possible rational zeros using factors of the first coefficient and the last term of a polynomial function. Practiced solving for real zeros by evaluating x values from both sides of the y-intercept to find a range of possible zeros, testing possible zeros using synthetic division, writing the result in polynomial form, then factoring and solving by setting factors equal to zero. Reviewed factoring by grouping and factoring perfect squares. Practiced long division of polynomial and corresponding answer notation."
"The topics we covered this time were the binomial theorem and Pascal's triangle - expanding (a + b)^n, finding the mth term in such an expansion, etc.; series, particularly iterated series - e.g. listing the first few terms in a series; exponentials - how to deal with powers such as (x^-3)^2 = x^; and manipulating expressions that involve exponentials."
