Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered concepts for the student's advanced graduate statistics course. We discussed chi squared tests, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and ANOVA. We also discussed the final project for her class. She, as always, is motivated to perform well and received a good grade on her midterm exam. No concerns to note."
"- The student and I completed his unit test review packet on exponential growth and decay. - He felt comfortable with most of the review. I provided some additional practice problems containing complex transformations of exponential functions."
"Student was very attentive. We went over her test from two weeks ago, which covered L'Hopital's rule, polar area, and indefinite integrals. Then we briefly discussed differential equations by separation of variables. Student knew the material. I did not leave her with any extra practice because her class is starting a new material and she has a solid understanding of the old material now."
"We met this evening to review for his math and science tests that are later this week. He has a good grasp of the material in both classes (solving/graphing equation systems in math; heat transfer in science). His mother let me know that he currently has good grades in all of his classes (mostly B's and B+'s), but we did discuss ways that we might be able to raise some of them to A's before the end of the semester."
"We went over parabolic equations in Chapter 10. I look forward to working with her next week to reinforce today's concepts."
"The student has had lots of extra practice sheets during her spring break. We worked on lots of math problems, especially on tally charts and bar graphs. We also worked on some word sheets, which included her tracing the words, rewriting them and finally drawing pictures to represent the words. She was very focused today, which was great given she is on vacation."
