Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has a chance to retake her Unit 10 test. We first reviewed questions marked wrong and clarified any conceptual questions. She understands the concepts and was able to clearly explain them, so we focused on some test taking strategies which would increase her score. We walked through completing a conversion from kJ to J with the appropriate conversion factor. Her Unit 11 test is on Tuesday, and it will address topics relating to equilibrium. We talked about important concepts such as the equilibrium constant, the equilibrium expression, and Le Chatelier's Principle. We also addressed the effects of pressure, volume, concentration, and temperature on equilibrium. As a practice problem, we walked through solubility equilibrium and calculating the concentration of a given product. She has several worksheets to work on, and I asked her to note any confusing questions so we can address them during our next session."
"We worked on review problems for an upcoming chemistry test she has. We worked through problems on heat, enthalpy change, VSEPR theory, and intermolecular forces. We worked through these problems and talked about the bigger concepts so she'll be able to connect them for questions on her test."
"We covered topics on past exams for the upcoming test. We did some History work as well as answering questions for an upcoming test."
