Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I used three workbooks today. We spent half the session practicing tracing letters and building her confidence in differentiating between letters. She had trouble discerning between "d" "b" and "p". She also wrote many of her letters backwards, particularly "D", "d", and "g". She has a strong ability to sound out words. I would read a sentence to her and have her pick out a word from the sentence of my choosing. For instance, in the sentence "Farmer Bill had a dog and a cat," I asked her to find "dog" by sounding it out and using her finger to point at the letters. Her skills are building."
"The student finished his book today. He is a hard worker. Today he worked on Fact and Inference. This is often a difficult concept for students of this age, but he has it mastered."
"I worked with the student on recognizing additional sight words, participating in creative dramatics while reading, and recognizing rhymes. She was able to identify two words as rhyming on her own today!"
