Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered his biology notes for this week in preparation for a Monday quiz. He seems to take notes well and covers and reviews his material."
"We covered Darwinism, natural selection, selective adaption, artificial selection, genetic drift, gene flow, and evolution."
"In our first session, the student and I discussed the types of variables which can be found in scientific experiments. This included independent and dependent variables, as well as constant variables. We also discussed the difference between observation and inference. Finally, we talked about control groups, and how they differ from the other experimental groups in a study. My approach with her will be to incorporate as many visual and verbal cues into the material as possible so that she has a variety of ways to approach questions in class. I will also be isolating and spacing questions from one another, so there is no clutter of work, and so she has plenty of space in order to approach the problems. I will be getting in contact with her summer school teacher so that I can receive a copy of the schedule for the class. This will allow me to come up with lectures ahead of time, and keep her up to date on current and future material."
